Our 30-Day Return Policy

At Ink and Scanners LLC (123 Commerce Blvd, Suite 400, Houston, TX 77002), we stand behind the quality of our products. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return most items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.

Return Eligibility & Timeframe

30-Day Return Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to return most items for a full refund. Returns requested after 30 days may not be accepted. The date of delivery is determined based on the carrier’s delivery confirmation record.

Condition Requirements

Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging. All accessories, manuals, cables, power cords, and documentation must be included. Items showing signs of use or missing components may be subject to a restocking fee or rejection.

Proof of Purchase

A valid order number or receipt is required for all returns. The item must be purchased directly from Ink and Scanners to be eligible for return through us.

RMA Number Required

All returns must be authorized in advance. Email us at [email protected] to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping any items back. Returns without an RMA number may be refused.

Non-Returnable Items

Opened Ink Cartridges

Ink cartridges cannot be returned once the package has been opened or the seal has been broken. Unopened cartridges in original packaging may be returned within 30 days.

Clearance & Final Sale Items

Products marked as clearance, final sale, or special order cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective. These items are clearly marked on the product page at the time of purchase.

Damaged or Modified Products

Products that have been physically damaged, disassembled, modified, or misused after delivery are not eligible for return. Products with missing, removed, or tampered serial number labels are also excluded.

Products Without Original Packaging

Items returned without the original manufacturer packaging or missing significant accessories (power cord, cables, included ink, etc.) may not be accepted or may be subject to a restocking fee deduction.

Refund Processing

Refund Timeline

Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it within 2–3 business days. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days from the date of inspection.

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Credit card refunds may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your statement depending on your card issuer. Cash on Delivery orders will receive refunds via check mailed to your billing address within 10–15 business days of approval.

Partial Refunds

In some cases, partial refunds may be granted for items that are returned in less than perfect condition, missing components, or show signs of use. A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply depending on product condition and packaging status.

Original Shipping Costs

Since we provide free shipping on all orders, there are no original shipping costs to deduct. However, if any optional services were purchased at checkout, those may be non-refundable.

Return Shipping Costs

Customer Responsibility Returns

For returns due to buyer preference (changed mind, ordered wrong item, etc.), customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance for high-value items.

Our Responsibility Returns

We provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you for items that arrive damaged, defective, or if we shipped the wrong item. Simply contact us to receive your return label via email.

Return Shipping Insurance

We recommend insuring your return shipment and using a trackable shipping method. Ink and Scanners is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping unless we provided the shipping label.

As we only ship within the United States, all returns must originate from US addresses. We cannot process returns from outside the US.

Damaged or Defective Items (Returns)

Inspection Upon Delivery

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If you notice any damage to the packaging or the product itself, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Reporting Defects

If you discover a defect after unboxing, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We may ask for photos or videos of the defect to expedite the resolution process. Defects reported after 30 days may be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Expedited Replacements

For damaged or defective items, we will expedite a replacement shipment at no additional cost. In some cases, we may ship the replacement before receiving the return, depending on the product value and circumstances.

Full Refund or Replacement

You have the option to receive either a full refund or a replacement for damaged or defective items. Return shipping is free for these cases, and you will receive a prepaid return label via email. Defective product returns are never subject to restocking fees.

Exchanges

Exchange Process

We currently handle exchanges as a return and repurchase. Return the unwanted item following our standard return process, and place a new order for the desired product. This ensures faster processing and guarantees product availability.

Price Differences

If the new item costs more than the returned item, you will need to pay the difference. If it costs less, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method. Exchanges are subject to product availability.

Defective Product Exchanges

For defective products under warranty, we can directly exchange the item without requiring a repurchase. Email us at [email protected], and we’ll arrange for a replacement to be sent while you return the defective unit.

Model Changes

If you ordered the wrong model, you can exchange it within 30 days by following the standard return process. The replacement item must be in stock, and you may be responsible for return shipping costs.

Warranty Information

All printers and scanners come with the manufacturer’s OEM warranty. Warranty periods vary by product (typically 1 year for printers and scanners).

All returned items are thoroughly inspected upon receipt. We verify that items meet our return criteria before processing refunds or replacements.
